“A horror film’s job is to scare you, is to get your pulse going, is to make you scream and yell. It’s to make you be afraid. That’s its main purpose, and creeping you out. And that can be an enjoyable experience.” --- John Carpenter ::::::::::::: MY CRITERIA FOR DISCUSSION ENCOMPASSES THE HORROR GENRE AND BEYOND, SO I USE THE TERM "NIGHTMARE MOVIES". SAW V DVD GIVEAWAY - COMPETITION CLOSED

March 23rd 2009 23:56
Saw V Jigsaw puppet
The lovely folk at Sony Pictures Home Entertainment are letting me give away three copies of Saw V on DVD. Featuring two separate commentaries and several in-depth featurettes on the design and execution of the various booby-traps and set-pieces, Saw V is a juicy addition to any horrorphile’s movie collection, even if you can’t make severed head nor tail of the twisted puzzle of Jigsaw’s legacy.

In twenty-five words or less describe the most horrific act of torture you can imagine. Points awarded if you can keep death at bay. The three best torture procedures deemed by my bad self will be sent a copy of Saw V to salivate over.

So put that torture porn thinking cap on, because, yes, there will be blood.

David, youre like a relentless piece of spam lately

Bryn,
death by a thousand paper cuts, except no death
paper cuts to the hands and knees and then being made to dig through a never-ending mountain of salt to reach an unobtainable goal

Lady David, is that a hint of professional jealousy I detect?

Morgan, oww. OWWWWW! That really stings. What is it about paper cuts that hurts so much? And digging through salt. Now you're talking my language.

Bryn,

I thought you knew me better than that.

To be jealous on a professional writing level, someone has to have a writing profession, not just be a blogger.

David, my tongue was squirming in my cheek, but I guess you couldn't see that ... Ironic humour is so easily lost in simple text. I did appreciate your sardonic edge, I just didn't respond nearly as caustically.

the amount of shit I've had to put up with on this site? Come on. I like being a piece of spam. It will be the healthiest writing the Morgan's of this world have eaten for a while.

When I think of eating spam, I think of that line of Weird Al Yankovic's; "Get yourself some spam and eat it!" Spam makes me gag. HA!

Bryn,

A lot of women gag. You need some lessons from the ones who swallow.

Ok, i'm a balanced individual but here goes:

Injected with aenesthetic, naked body coated in acid in front of mirror, watching your flesh burn, but can't feel it, until aenesthetic slowly wears off!!

Jason, that's very gruesome, how long would a person last before succumbing to death?

Try a metal ring around a persons neck It is just loose enough to go up to their nose but no further. The ring is chained to the wall and the small room is slowly filling with sand. The victim had a small bone saw a small hammer.

The saw cannot cut through metal.
The victim has to cut their own nose off to get the ring beyond that point. Then after that they realize that the ring cannot go beyond the forehead..

Now they have to choose which part of the skull they will crush to get the ring off be fore the are smothered in sand.

The saw and the small hammer are there to do the task.

Damo, you should be screenwriting for the Saw producers! Are you sure you want a copy of this movie??

Sometimes my imagination even scare me.
Hehehehehe.....

BTW I saw SAW 1 a while back and it was not nearly as gruesome as I was led to believe.

The most frightening thing about it were the irrational characters and the holes in the script.

Bryn, as long as you are in control of the anaesthetic, you can make it last as long as you like. Soon as they start moaning, give them some more... or wait till the screaming gets too much for you.... then give them some more. Of course eventually infection will end it if not treated...but that would take time. For a little extra effect, have some insects or rodents, eat at the wounds, all while the victim watches. Sweet Dreams.

Ok, I'm going to nick this one from history...but on the other hand it was for real!..unreal:

Vlad Tepes. Horses pulled victims onto blunted wooden stakes through the anus and out the neck or mouth. Sometimes upside down. It happened. Gimme Saw!
