Horror QUIZ #25: Are you sure this is a movie title?

July 31st 2008 06:56
Here's an easy one for you. But the rule here is if it’s a title of a non-horror movie it doesn’t count, only out and out horror movies are in this selection (or not, as the case may be). So if there’s a romantic-comedy that happens to be called Pandora, don’t say “yes” to question 4. And the title has to be its original title, not the name it was given in South Africa. Savvy?

1. Cajo
2. Mephistopheles
3. Jonah
4. Christina
5. Morgana
6. Pandora
7. Patrick
8. Hannibal
9. Scarlet
10. Tamara
11. Cassie
12. Schramm
13. Willard

13 … Scary! You truly are a horrorphilic geek!
9 – 12 … You’re well on your way to being a walking horror video library!
5 – 8 … So many titles, so little time!
1 – 4 … Best you stick to watching sit-coms and soaps

I think its Jonah. The most simplist of a biblical name seem to be the most demented and diobolical.

La la la...12 out of 13.

Hey Bryn, I just had to share this with you after your comment on Cibby's "Vertigo" post. Off-topic, I know, but I thought you could use a good laugh:

Mel Brooks' parody of Hitchcock's "The Birds"

Damo ... 9/13 ... not too shabby.
Anon ... Well, that would be telling, you can check your own answers.
Armenta ... very good! Cheers for the Mel link, although I must say, I'm not a huge fan of scatalogical humour, but it makes sense if you're gonna parody The Birds you'd do something like that.

Oh don't be such a poop, Bryn. >oops!<

Well, as you said-the scene sort of lends itself to that approach. That movie ("High Anxiety") parodies pretty much every Hitch movie at some point or other, which Cibby's post reminded me of, which led me to share this with him, you and JD. Since you're all three familiar with Hitch's work, I figured you might get a laugh.

Hopefully Cibby and JD won't make me feel like an 8-year-old who's just been scolded for farting at the table....

Me, I like all kinds of humor, scatological or otherwise..however, I will keep your aversion to crap humor in mind from now on!

Armenta, hey I like a good loud fart as much as the next guy, don't get me wrong! Have you seen La Grande Bouffe? Brilliant.

La Grande Bouffe (which translates roughly as The Big Blowout) is Italian/French movie from 1973 about several wealthy middle-aged men decide to end it all by eating themselves to death: gastronomic suicide. A black comedy about greed and desire. One character expires from extreme flatulence. It's quite hard to track down ... good luck!
