IMPENDING ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE ...?

May 20th 2011 03:28
CDC's zombie apocalpyse
A friend and fellow Orbler (although she doesn't post in this neck of the woods much anymore) hosts a curious and fascinating website called Extraordinary Intelligence that deals all things paranormal, supernatural and conspiratorial. Basically all the mysteries and oddities that keep life (and beyond) interesting.

Natalina, the site's host, editor and writer, posted an amusing story about an apparently imminent zombie apocalypse and the measures we may need to take to deal with this potentially catastrophic event.

Click here to read her intriguing post which highlights The Center for Disease Control and Prevention's call for "Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse".

Sounds like the bite of dark satire to me. George, are you reading this?

I actually thought the zombie post may catch your eye Thank ya mucho for the shout out!

I have to say... even though I know the entire CDC post is meant to be a funny way to draw attention to disaster preparedness... there is a little part of me... a tiny little place deep in my conspiracy warped mind that asks.... what if? What if they're trying to tell us that... gulp... zombies are a real threat?

Just in case, I'm gonna stay alert and keep my bug out bag at the ready... lest some outbreak renders my neighbors unable to resist the allure of my braaaaaaaaaains!

The mention of brains is what intrigues me here. Frankly, if we're looking at a Return of the Living Dead scenario more than anything else as that would imply, it might almost make it worth getting stuck with the shambling(and not-so-shambling) corpses. At least then we'll know that Voodoo is the one true religion, because clearly death has a sense of humor. =)
