Splice alternate movie poster
The lovely folk at Madman Entertainment have given me ten free tickets as giveaways to see the new sci-fi-horror-thriller, Splice (2010), which opens in Australia in a couple of weeks.

If you're keen to see the movie drop me a comment telling me your favourite sci-fi-horror movie. The first lucky ten comments will receive two tickets in the post, just like that!

NB: This giveaway is only open to readers who live in Queensland, NSW, Victoria and South Australia.

My favourite sci-fi Horror is Event Horizon. Loved the thrill of being stuck in space, time to escape is running out and the crew going insane!

Again i geographically strike out Bryn.

Just to play along i think John Carpenter's The Thing or Ridley Scott's Alien would be to two obvious sci-fi horror choices.

I love sci-fi, and I love horror, so I will basically watch any combination of the two.

JohnDoe already beat me to my 2 all-time favourites. Close runners up include Carpenter's They Live, Cameron's The Terminator & Aliens, McTiernan's Predator and the Spierig brothers' Daybreakers. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing the new Predators yet, but I have a feeling I'd seriously like that one too. Not quite sure if you'd count Jurassic Park as a horror, but those raptors definitely scared the crap out of me as a kid.

Totally agree with Event Horizon as a guilty pleasure. I also quite enjoyed Species and Jason X

Firefly because it combines my two favourite genres, sci fi and zombies.

Oops ... that was supposed to be Serenity, not Firefly.
