FANTASTIC ASIA FILM FESTIVAL - MELBOURNE NOVEMBER 10 - 13
November 4th 2011 05:18
Neil Foley, the beast behind Monster Pictures (The Woman, and upcoming The Human Centipede 2) is igniting the inaugural Fantastic Asia Film Festival, Australia’s very first film festival dedicated to a diversity range of Asian genre cinema. Prepare to be perverted and delighted!
From opening night, next Thursday, November 10th, Melbourne's Cinema Nova will be hosting an array of sexy and violent Asian booty. A selection of the newest, boldest, most innovative, subversive horror, sci-fi, fantasy and erotica on the planet.
FAFF screams "Asia maintains the rage!"
Kicking off with Yoshihiro Nishimura’s hilarious and over-the-top splatter-comedy, Helldriver, and ending with one of the cutest and sweetest, yet downright filthy, Shinji Imaoka’s Underwater Love – a pinku porno musical!
Also included in the festival program is Let the Bullets Fly, Takeshi Miike’s Ninja Kids, Yakuza Hunters featuring J-horror queen Asami, the awesomely titled Erotibot and Invasion of Alien Bikini, plus the out there Tomie: Unlimited, the romanti-killer Guilty of Romance, and a chance to see one of my movies of the year, the awesome serial killer vs cop horror-thriller I Saw the Devil!
Neil Foley describes FAFF as "about innovation and imagination, it’s about sex, aliens, murders, car crashes, robots, turtles, kicks, thumps, blood, semen, sex, guns, sweat, girls, bullets, devils, shit, sweat, guts, sex and more sex. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry , you’ll get hard, you’ll get sick, you’ll get up, you’ll get down and you’ll love every friggin’ furious fantastic Asian frame."
Tickets are available directly from Cinema Nova, but hurry burry, they're seeling like hot dumplings!
