Dead Space: Aftermath follows the plight if four crew members aboard the O'Bannon (get it?) spaceship. The year is 2509 and interstellar evil is rife.
Expect much sci-fi referencing, including ships named after cult classic sf character names and filmmakers. There's tentacled monsters and lots of blood and gore. Don't expect a high level of smarts though, Dead Space: Aftermath is strictly of the salty popcorn variety, but it does include an array of differing animation styles to illustrate the Rashamon-esque narrative.
